Issue
If your e-mail server is going to add signatures to e-mails as they are sent you need to stop Outlook from adding any signatures as well. Otherwise you will have multiple signatures and it will look odd.
Please note that signatures added by Exchange won't show up as you're writing the e-mail but you will see it when you get a reply from someone.
If Outlook automatically adds a signature for you please follow these steps to stop it being added.
Steps
- In Outlook, click New for a new email
- Click the Signature button on the top of the window
- Click "Signatures..."
- Change the "New messages" and "Reply/forwards" drop down options to (none). Note that the "E-mail account" box will have your e-mail address in it and this doesn't need changing
- Click OK
- Close the new e-mail window or click discard
You can test that signatures aren't automatically added in Outlook by clicking on New for a new email again, you should see that no signature is added.
